For this photo I choose one my portraits of my daughter. I started with the overlay of my textured photo of her favorite blanket that she sleeps with every night and tried to highlight the colors over the black and white photo of her. I then added in one of my shadowed photos which displayed the shadow of a tree on to a garage door and layered it over the blanket texture. Key loves to look for shadows and she just happened to be with me the day I took that shadow photo. I feel I got the outcome I was looking for and it gives the representation of things she likes and places we explore together.

I like the black and white, with the blue pattern going across. It gives it a different story.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, ShayLee! The joy and rapport you have with the kids clearly comes through, and your light choices worked out great. I love the layering on the expanded portrait as well. With so much visual information. going on it was a great choice to go black and white. It boosted the visual clarity and the overall effect is timeless energetic. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI really like that you did this photo in black and white. The edits are really subtle, but they look great. I like that you used your daughters favorite blanket for the texture on this photo.
