The Journey of a Dandelion.

For my non- linear narrative, I choose the journey of a dandelion. The journey can start in many of places and end the same way. This choosing is more of my referral to how life can begin and end. No matter how it happens the outcome can be just as mysterious and the journey a dandelion can be.
"Opening"
"Blooming"
"Blow hard!"
"Death"
"The end of the beginning"
"Bloomed"
"The beginning of death"
"Close to the end"
"The beginning"
"The start"
"Fluff in the open"
"The journey of seeds"
For my editing process I wanted to use a mixture of color and black and white. I also used different brightness, exposure, contrast, deepening of black and white, blurring, cropping, and many more. I wanted some of my main focal points to be more of the apparent part of the photo.

Each name I choose represents the journey or part of the journey of where the dandelion is at and that no matter how it is in the process the story is still unpredictable.

Expanded Portrait

For this photo I choose one my portraits of my daughter. I started with the overlay of my textured photo of her favorite blanket that she sleeps with every night and tried to highlight the colors over the black and white photo of her. I then added in one of my shadowed photos which displayed the shadow of a tree on to a garage door and layered it over the blanket texture. Key loves to look for shadows and she just happened to be with me the day I took that shadow photo. I feel I got the outcome I was looking for and it gives the representation of things she likes and places we explore together.

Portrait's!

For my photos I used the same setting with the adjustments being small when needed. Shutter Speed: 1/125 Aperture:8 ISO:6400

This Keydence and she is my 4- year- old daughter. This photo of her shows her trust smile of them all! She is my inspiration for all that I do and without her I'm not quite sure where I would be. For this photo I used the natural sunlight outside but loved the aspect of the black and white. She is of a mixed races and this light and black and white quality of it still gives her the beauty of this factor. My second photo of her is her more silly side and gives her the true meaning behind her attitude and personality. She is why I fight and push for self-acceptance because in the world we live people lack this trait often and showing and demonstrating to her how to allows for her to be herself and all she has to offer.
This is Rhyla, she 8- years- old and is my niece. She is quiet the character in her actual personality, but for these photos she showed her genuine side and let her actual emotions show. This hardly happens with her as she is more of the let my silly side show kind of people. This photo I took in my living room as the sun was moving through my bay window. It helped to highlight her freckles and simplicity of her smile.

This is Bentley, my 3- year- old nephew and the only boy around our house. He was super excited to get his photo taken because he seen what I was doing with the girls. This is the first time he was willing to let me take an actual photo of him and gave the best smile he could ever. I took his photo outside and it displays the natural lighting given off by the sun. The way the sun was shining on the back of him forward helped to give his eyes some dimension and brought out his true meaning for smiling.

The perfect trio around my house a lot of the time. These three are my biggest supporters when I am unsure of who I am and why I choose to work with children for my foreverness. They also support each other which is a huge thing for me and something I have always wanted for my children. This photo was taken in my mother's living room and the sun wasn't shining directly in to there, but the lighting we received shows who they really are from their smile to the I'm going to cover my smile to the "look at my lips auntie!"
This was the last photo I loved because it represents each of them for who they are and what they want to be. They know how to keep themselves going and how their silliness represents them on key and doesn't give a fake aspect of who they are.
